Urban Beat hosts job fair at Imperial Park

Urban Beat, the partnership for employment and enterprise in South Bristol, is hosting a Jobs Fair from 26 - 28 October in Unit 5 at Imperial Retail Park, on Hartcliffe Way. The Jobs Fair brings together employers and recruitment specialists to offer strategic career advice, basic skills assessments, support for accessing childcare, in-work benefit advice and training. Brian McInally, Project Manager of Urban Beat comments: "The aim of this event is to help individuals overcome the practical barriers in returning to the workplace. The team here is equipped to offer advice, training and ideas on how to get back to work." Urban Beat is supported by the Imperial Park Regeneration Fund, which was created by the owners and developers of Imperial Retail Park, The Junction. To date the Fund has supported projects and initiatives across Hartcliffe and Withywood to assist 138 residents directly into employment, 79 of which were on Imperial Park itself, to mentor 769 people, create 28 new childcare places and support 67 people in accessing in-work benefits. During the three day event, Urban Beat are also offering entertainment and activities for the whole family to enjoy, including face painting, arts and crafts, balloon modelling, goody bags and refreshments.
